We are always inspired by stories of divers who do fantastic things underwater, and break boundaries for themselves. This story is one that we were happy and honoured to be a part of.
Justin Vijay Jesudas, age 36 is a quadriplegic. This means that he is paralysed from the neck downwards, all the way down to his tailbone, following a spinal cord injury. Life must already be a battle for him, and yet, he doesn’t allow this limitation to decide his dreams and aspirations!
We were so very happy to conduct his Open Water Course for him. Our instructor and favourite Superman Aravind got himself an instructor certificate from Disabled Divers International, an association like PADI, but pertaining to those aspiring divers with physical difficulties. Aravind, therefore, was not only qualified, but excited too to conduct Justin’s very first dive experience with his brand new training!
Needless to say, the course went impeccably smooth. One could perhaps forget altogether that Justin had any difficulties at all. His strength and perseverance was inspiring to us all!
An international para-swimming champion, Justin already proved to us that he did not come here to us without knowing what he was capable of. He works for Cognizant Technology Solutions as Deputy General Manager, once again proving that he leads life just the way he wants it to be. We all love you, Justin, for the positive energy and happiness you brought to our team and the example you have set for all of us! We hope to see you soon and wish you the very best in your future dives and your very many endeavours!
