The week that was – of rains and diving

The rains are here!! Yay!! Well this gives us one more reason to become wet 🙂 We had many queries over the past week about the incoming rainy season and what it means for diving. Well, to make a statement, we love diving in the rains!! For one thing, we become more safe divers as people make extended safety stops just to check out the rain splattered ocean surface from down under at 5m. We however, take extra care on our harbour entries and exits and monitor the forecasts even more closely. If the wind picks up and there are huge waves, we tend to go to our fresh water quarries where the hunt is still on to find the bottom of the bottomless quarry 😛

This past week we went out diving everyday, come rain or shine. It was mostly rain though 😛 We had Roop, Thirukumaran, Barathraj, Keison, Jackson and Tanner become newly qualified PADI Open Water divers and Madhura complete her Advanced Open Water Course as well. Hope to see you diving with us soon again! We had a lot of fun divers around with us; some of them even back within two weeks of their last dives as well 🙂 We love you guys!! The DSDs had a lot of fun as usual, with the ocean clearing up and some amazing March like viz around Temple. We are seriously considering updating our vizibility charts, but we are very lazy and this task is definitely going to take some time. Maybe by next season, you will have an updated record or maybe not 😛

In other news there is a direct Air India flight from Bangalore to Pondicherry which leaves early evening. So that means, it will give you plenty of time to pack your gear after you reach the Dive Centre on Friday, and join us for some evening refreshments 🙂 A little fish says we still have some space left in our boats this weekend 😀 So what are you waiting for? You know the M.O. 🙂
