- Weight Belt with 4-8 1# Weights - Freediving / Rubber Style Belt Preferred
- Wetsuit
- Ocean Level Bifins or Long Fins (With Dive Boots if your bifins need them)
- Soft Sole Fin Socks / Swim Socks (Dive Boots will not fit mermaid fins)
- J-Style Freediving Snorkel
- Low Volume Mask
- Transportation
- Overnight Lodging Accommodations (If Applicable)
- Dive Jacket, Robe, or Other Warm Outer Layer
- Mermaid Tail (Mertailor Guppy or Cape Cali Diveskin Preferred)
- SAFETY: Neoprene and/or fabric tails made by Finfolk Productions are not allowed.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Ages 18+
- PADI Advanced Mermaid Certification OR SSI Ocean Mermaid OR Freediving Instructor Certification
- Possess Current, Valid, First Aid / CPR / AED Certifications (Red Cross Lifeguard or Instructor certs ok) with Emergency O2 Cert
- PADI Diver Medical Form Signed & Completed by a Physician in the Last 12 Months
SWIMMING REQUIREMENTS:
- Lap swim 400m nonstop without any aids
- Float 10 minutes only wearing a swimsuit
- Lap swim 800m in snorkeling gear / no wetsuit without using arms
- Surface tow or push a diver 100m in a monofin (mermaid fin) ADDITIONAL
